Festival of Choice
Festival of Choice is a week of events in London culminating in the global day of action for the decriminalisation of abortion SEPTEMBER 28TH. All over the world people will be taking action to call for safe, legal, accessible abortion; and to end abortion stigma.
On SATURDAY 26TH SEPTEMBER Voice for Choice and Central American Women’s Network (CAWN) will be co-hosting an evening of film and discussion. THEIR LAWS OUR LIVES including:
- a screening of the acclaimed documentary A Quiet Inquisition followed by a Q and A with the Director joining us by Skype from California and a spokesperson from CAWN updating us on their work on abortion rights in Central America.
- a screening of the Spanish documentary El Tren de Libertad (the freedom train), a joyous testament to people-power, through the documenting of the vibrant demonstrations that helped to prevent the passage of a highly restrictive abortion law in Spain in 2014.
